The Three Determinants of Personal Health Status

Health is a condition where disease and infirmity aren’t present. A wide variety of definitions have already been employed for several purposes throughout the years. Among them, one of the most common ones is to imply that it is the sum total of all the favorable qualities of a person’s health. It therefore implies good health but also takes into consideration a person’s personal attitudes towards health, as well as his or her family’s attitudes toward health. Another definition uses words such as well-being and health to mean a condition in which you feel mentally healthy. This definition can be called the ideal health condition.

Your physical health condition is usually described as your being in good physical condition. The major components of this would be having no serious illnesses, no injury, no malignancies, and having normal weight. Other components would also include having low blood pressure, regular sleep patterns, and no significant problems with depression, alcohol or substance abuse. Mental health is what concerns your thoughts and feelings when it comes to your mental health.

One component of the human health science is assessment, or diagnosis. It involves defining and studying what diseases there may be in the body. These are then classified based on their symptoms and their causes. By learning more about the illness, the doctors will then know how to best treat the disease. Treatments are divided into two categories: preventative and curative.

Prevention is the act of shielding the people from diseases by doing everything possible to avoid the occurrence of the diseases. Thus, it can either be done through diet and exercise, or through therapy, medications, and social engagements. Curative on the other hand, is the process of healing after the occurrence of the diseases. This is usually done by enhancing the body’s immune system and repairing any damage that the body has incurred. These are two very important components of the health issue, since they affect the way the body will respond to any health problems.

The three determinants of health status are lifestyle choices, genetic factors, and physical environment. Lifestyle choices refers to the decisions we make on a daily basis about what we eat, how much we work out, and how much time we spend on activities. These things can determine the physical dimension of our health. For example, the amount of stress we have in our lives, such as how busy our work schedules are, can affect the quality of our physical health, causing us to have stress-related diseases.

On the other hand, genetic factors refers to anything that we inherit from our parents and grandparents, whether it is physical or mental. It can also affect our physical health, making us susceptible to illness and disease. Finally, the physical environment can affect the quality of our life, or our ability to cope with stress and adversity. A safe place to live, work, and play is very important for our emotional well being.
